Thai Yoga Bodywork
Thai yoga bodywork is a beautiful, therapeutic ancient art for contemporary stressors. Emerging over 2,500 years ago, it embodies ancient Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Yoga. Thai yoga bodywork is an active expression of Metta, or loving kindness. The intentional essence of Metta sets forth the healing processes and practices of Thai Bodywork.
The guiding principle for the practice of Thai yoga bodywork is compassion: for both oneself and others. Techniques include a combination of deep acupressure, compression, joint decompression, passive stretching, traction, and energy work along “Sen Lines” (the channels of the vital flows of life energy) to yield a holistic, well-balanced therapy. Manual manipulations and energetic flows awaken stagnant energy to remove negative “blocked” energy from the Sen Lines. While Thai yoga bodywork is a very physical modality, its primary focus is to impart balance and harmony to the ‘energetic’ body and mind of the recipient.

Yoga Nidra is a state between sleep and deep relaxation. It involves a systematic method of inducing deep physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The practice is done while lying down on one's back with eyes closed and the body made completely comfortable. It involves deep relaxation with inner awareness while the instructor leads a guided session with her voice. The guide uses auto-suggestion cues, visualization and affirmation to create an environment in which healing can occur. A few of the benefits now being confirmed by the medical field are increased immune function, digestive function and better sleep. The gifts of Yoga Nidra are the releasing of old habits, fatigue, worry and stress. This is a technique for physical rejuvenation, mental relaxation, spiritual growth and overall wellness. The secret of Yoga Nidra, and to better health, lie in its ability to relieve tension and stress at its root and restore a balanced state of mind and a deeply rested body.
$35-$45.00 per session, sessions range from 35-45 minutes of a generic/relaxation type Yoga Nidra. For an additional $10.00 you may record the session.
$60.00 1 hour sessions involve a discussion before the appointment and a customized Nidra session that fits your needs.
